Listed below are the steps required to setup Microsoft Outlook 2013/2010, an e-mail client that comes with Microsoft Office 2013/2010.  This is also installed on lot of Microsoft Windows PC on the market today. If you wish to gain the full benefit of our e-mail services, this is the best client e-mail configuration to use.

Configuring Outlook 2013/2010 to connect using RPC over HTTP allows users to connect to Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 over the Internet.  This allows Outlook to function as though the user were connected to the local network. Note: In order to use RPC over HTTP you will need at least Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or Windows Vista or Windows 7 installed.

Step 1. Click on "Start” and then click on "Control Panel" and then double click on "Mail".

Step 2. The "Mail Setup - Outlook" window will appear. Click on "Show Profiles...".

Step 3. The "Mail" window will appear. Start by selecting "Prompt for a profile to be used" and then click on "Add".

Step 4. The "New Profile" window will appear. Start by typing in your "Full Name" and then click on "OK" to continue.

Step 5. The "E-mail Accounts" window will appear. Ensure that "Add a new e-mail account" is selected and then click on "Next" to continue.

Step 6. The "E-mail Accounts - Server Type" window will appear. Ensure that "Microsoft Exchange Server" is selected and then click on "Next" to continue.

Step 7. The "E-mail Accounts - Exchange Server Settings" window will appear. Start by typing in "trixcas01.tothenet.com" in the Microsoft Exchange Server dialog box and then enter your "User Name" in the User Name dialog box.

Step 8. Next, click on the "More Settings..." button. Note: It may seem as though the configuration wizard is hung. This is normal. When the pop up window appears, click "OK" to continue.

Step 9. The "Microsoft Exchange Server" window will appear. Continue by clicking on "Cancel".

Step 10. The "Microsoft Exchange Server - General" window will appear. Start by clicking on the "Connection" tab to continue.

Step 11. The "Mail.Webtrix.net Properties - Connection" window will appear. Start by placing a check mark next to "Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP" and then click on "Exchange Proxy Settings" to continue.

Step 12. The "Exchange Proxy Settings" window will appear. Start by typing in "mail.webtrix.net" in the "https://" dialog box. Then place a check mark next to "Mutually authenticate the session...".

Step 13. Continue by typing in "msstd:mail.webtrix.net" in the "Principal name for proxy server" dialog box. Then place a check mark next to "On fast networks..." and then finish by selecting "Basic Authentication" from the drop down box and then click on "OK" to continue.

Step 14. The "mail.webtrix.net Properties - Connection" window will re-appear. Click on "OK" to continue.

Step 15. The "E-mail Accounts - Exchange Server Settings" window will re-appear. Click on "Next" to continue and then click on "Finish".

You are all done! Now simply launch Microsoft Outlook 2013/2010 from the Start Menu and then select your profile when prompted. You will then be prompted for your username and password. Be sure to add: tothenet\ in front of your username!
